Strawberry Muffins

The challenge this week at Papercraft Star is the Kitchen. I decided to a digital image from our sponsor, The House Across The Bay called Garden 117. I love the big juicy strawberries!

I made the card and box for the muffins as a gift to brighten a friends day. All the other supplies used came from my stash. I used a Stampin' Up! punch for the scalloped edges.

I'm sharing a recipe for my muffins. I hope you will enjoy :)

Strawberry Muffins
1/4 cup oil
1/2 cup milk
1 egg
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 cup white sugar
1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
1 cup chopped strawberries
Directions
Preheat oven to 375 degrees, oil an 8 cup muffin tin, or use paper liners.
In a small bowl, combine oil, milk, and egg. Beat lightly. In a large bowl, mix flour, salt, baking powder and sugar. Toss in chopped strawberries and stir to coat with flour. Pour in milk mixture and stir together.
Fill muffin cups. Bake at 375 degrees F (190 degrees C) for 25 minutes, or until the tops
bounce back from the touch. Cool 10 minutes and remove from pans.

I hope you will come play along with us this week! You have until 6am eastern time Monday to share your project with us. We are also excited to announce a new Design Team Member Jinny Newlin! Please come welcome her!

Botanical Butterflies

I made this botanical butterfly card for this week's challenge at Papercraft Star. I just love the vivid colors of the butterflies, they look so real! I made this card using decorative tapes from Tapeswell. The patterns are called Old Script and Butterflies. I placed the Butterflies tape pattern on plain cardstock, fussy cut them out, then glued them to the cardbase. If you look closely you can see a slight shadow because the wings are raised up. I hope I've inspired you to make something with a butterfly this week! Come join us in this week's challenge at Papercraft Star! You have until 6am Eastern time on Monday to link up. Our sponsor The House Across The Bay has so many fabulous digital images! The first place winner gets to pick two downloads and second place wins one!

I Love You

This week the challenge at Papercraft Star is hearts. I decided to use my Stampin' Up! heart shaped treat cups to make a fun little Valentine's Day card for my son Parker. I know he'll love this card because I filled the treat cup with M&M's! Once the red tab is pulled, the candy will fall out of the inside of the card. Despite using pink I don't think this card is too girly. I think red and pink are the classic Valentine's Day colors. I used the Pink Damask tape pattern from Tapeswell to create the background. I used a retired alphabet die from Lifestyle Crafts to diecut I Love You, I think it was called Abundance.
I hope you will come play along with us this week! We have a fabulous new team member named Slyvia that is sure to inspire you! You have until 6am eastern time Monday to link up! Our sponsor The House Across The Bay has so many wonderful digital images and you could win some by sharing your talent with us!

Just Moved

I decided to make a "just moved" card for this weeks Rustic Challenge at Papercraft Star. It's quite fitting for me this week since Chad & I are in the process of moving. We listed our home for sale had a contract on it within a week! We have been busy sorting and packing things. We found a craftsman inspired home in a great neighborhood. I love the floor plan and the huge rooms! I'm dreading packing up my craft room though!!! Ugh! Hopefully it won't take me very long to get my new craft room set up and organized. Hope, hope, hope. The new house has great bones, but we want to change a bunch of things right away. We want to paint and put granite in the kitchen and bathrooms. We want to get rid of the deck and pour a cement slab the length of the back of the house, then build a pergola over it. Lawn Doctor will need to come to help get the lawn into shape.
I can hardly wait to shop for new furniture! I'm hoping the Paula Deen Round Pedestal Table with the tobacco finish will work for my eat in kitchen. I've been in love with it for quite some time now! We are gaining a huge formal dining room and another bedroom.

I hope you will play along with us this week at Papercraft Star! You could win some fabulous digital images from our sponsor The House Across The Bay. It's always exciting to see what everyone else makes for the weekly challenge, we are all so very different! It makes it quite fun! You ave until 6 am Eastern time on Monday to enter.
