You Are My Hero

I really like making masculine cards with Papertrey Ink's woodgrain impression plate.  The stamp set  is Father Knows Best.
Note: Do not sand grey paper then swipe with a white craft ink pad. Not cool. I'm not sure if the grey is gonna come out of my craft pad. Now it's a softer white. lol

Hehehe

I'm super excited about a couple of emails I  received!!!

The first one was from Beth Moore and then from Babette Switzer they told me I was the lucky random winner over at The Kraft Journal!

And to top it off I see a comment from Bonnie at Really Reasonable Ribbon, "Congratulations Jennifer! Your beautiful card made the Top 3 over at challenge #19 on the Really Reasonable Ribbon Blog. Come on over and pick up your 'Top 3' badge. :) "

Hehehe lucky me ;)

Lucky Me

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

I think I'm officially obsessed with decorative tape! I really love all the decorative tapes that Tapeswell offers. To make the hat box and card I used the green Scroll decorative tape. The hat started off as a plain kraft brown paper mache box. I flipped it upside down and glued green textured cardstock to chip board, cut it into a circle, then glued it onto the lid to make the hat bottom. I then covered the rest of the box in green paper and added the tape over it for a fun pattern. The tape actually helps to protect the box from the paper wearing off. To make the four leaf clovers I added the tape to a celery green cardstock then used a heart shaped punch. I found a fancy label shape punch from EK Success at Hobby Lobby to make the buckle. The sentiment came from Stampin' Up! I also found the gold chocolate coins and pipe at Hobby Lobby. My son Parker is so cute, he believes chocolate coins are magic!

Forever In My Heart

Oh, I just think those little bunnies are the sweetest!
Especially the baby, he's so cute, he makes me smile. :)
The bunnies are from Close To My Heart. I stamped them on kraft cardstock, colored them with Prismacolor pencils, then cut them out by hand. The card base is also kraft cardstock layerd with Distressed Dots in Harvest Gold from Papertrey Ink. The yellow and cream dot paper is recycled from the paper that came in the package with the stamp set. I love seam binding ribbon! I love the romantic vintage, shabby chic feel to it. I need to get the Bow Easy Tool, so I can make pretty double bows. I'm linking my card to CR84FN, The Kraft Journal, DYSU and Passionately Artistic.

Life Happens

I really like this spring color combo of pink, purple, green and brown. This is my interpretation of the
Mojo Monday sketch 180. Embellish Magazine is using this color combination with music. Papercraft Star also has a challenge for songs, book or movie inspiration. Kraft Journal has a cute as a button challenge. Really Reasonable Ribbon and  DYSU are both all about green. The green paper is from Close To My Heart called Wings, it has little butterflies all over it. The sentiment "Life is what happens to you while you're busy making other plans" is my favorite quote by John Lennon.
So true!
